Family Vacations at El Rancho in Mazatlan
Most people, when they think of family vacations,
especially on the beach, have an image of a huge resort with gigantic
pools and a crowded beach with people fighting over the umbrellas
and beach chairs. But is that what you really want for your vacation?
Is that really the best thing for your family on your precious vacation
time?
At Villas El Rancho, we believe there's
a different way to do family vacations which will actually make
you enjoy your vacation more, and help your family to draw closer
together as well.
A Family-Inspired Resort
Villas El Rancho is really special, because it
wasn't built by a hospitality corporation, but by an individual
architect, Otto Schott. A dedicated family man (with 5 daughters
and numerous grandchildren), he didn't design El Rancho based on
what would allow him to make the most money from a resort, but on
what would allow him and his family to best enjoy their vacations
together.
Take a moment to see the concept that he developed.
We think it'll be just right for your next family vacation!

Convenient Direct Access to the Beach and Pool
Another important criteria for Architect Schott was that his family
have easy access to the beach and pool. Therefore he ruled out the
idea of building a typical hotel tower with elevators and long hallways.
Instead, he opted for individual villas at ground level.
This means you can step out the door of your villa directly into
the beach or pool area. Imagine! You don't have to worry about taking
everything with you when you head to the pool or the beach. If you
forget something, it's only a few steps to go back to your villa
and get it. And if you have kids, you can even keep an eye on them
from inside your villa while they play on the beach or in the pool.
Small Size for Peace and Security
Architect Schott's final touch to make El Rancho ideal for family
vacations was to keep the size of the resort small. Rather than
hundreds of rooms like some mega-resorts, El Rancho only has 25
villas.
This has many advantages. First of all, it allows a much more peaceful
atmosphere, because there are no crowds. You don't have to worry
about fighting for space on the beach, or waiting to get a table
at the restaurant, or finding a chair around the pool. In fact,
you can actually get to know and make friends with the other families
in the resort!
It also makes a real difference in convenience. Everything
is close - the beach, the pool, reception, the restaurant - they're
all just a few steps away.

Comfortable Family-Sized
Villas
Architect Schott's first criteria for
having a good vacation with his family was having a
comfortable place to stay together as a family. Typical
hotel rooms definitely did not cut it, so instead he
designed spacious villas where families can feel at
home.
Our villas have two separate bedrooms,
one with a king size bed, and the other with two queen
size beds. That way a family of up to six can stay together
comfortably without being crowded.
They also include a dining area, living
room (complete with couches and coffee table), a complete
kitchen (with refrigerator, stove, cabinets, etc.),
and 2 complete bathrooms. All in all, each villa comes
to about 1100 sq. ft., spread over two floors. |
